Part relic, part apparition, Ascension I emerges from reclaimed Ancaster limestone, bringing together human and animal forms within a fragmented stone structure.
 
The work explores themes of transformation, ancestry and emergence, drawing on the visual language of archaeology, mythology and the enduring relationship between people, landscape and memory.
