Community Outreach & Participatory Public Art
My public work is rooted in direct engagement with the communities it exists within.
These projects are shaped through conversations, shared experiences, and on-site interaction — drawing from local histories, lived realities, and collective memory.
Participation is not treated as a separate stage of the process, but as a fundamental part of how each work is developed. Ideas emerge through dialogue, observation, and exchange, and are translated into a visual language that reflects both place and people.
This approach comes from a background in graffiti and mural culture, where public space has always functioned as a site of expression, negotiation, and visibility.
Full DBS, qualified youth worker, over 20 + years of experience in various settings.

Research & Development
Each project is developed through a combination of:
– site-based research
– informal and structured conversations
– observation of local environments and behaviours
– opportunities for direct public interaction and contribution
These inputs are not reproduced literally, but absorbed and reinterpreted within the final work.

Inclusion in creative concept building through active research participation - partnering with local Museums, Archeology groups, site visits, guest talks, experts in historical artefacts.
Creative workshops exploring ancient 'graffiti' petroglyphs & mark making in clay tiles & soap stone, story telling & symbology.

Community Consultation
Work designed through a collaborative process including community consultations, storytelling sessions, study and public workshops to help refine the artists initial concepts into communally imagined artworks.

Direct Reference Materials
Public space is never neutral — it’s contested, layered, and constantly rewritten. Participation allows that reality to remain visible within the work.
The People and the places directly appear in the work!
